:: Q: WHY DON'T WITCHES HAVE BABIES? ::

I hate National Chemistry Week. Okay, I love National Chemistry Week, but I hate that it's held in the Sunday-Saturday week that includes 10/23 (which is Mole Day), because that means my week before Halloween is an exceptionally heavy work week. Grrr.

As a result, my Halloween costumes are usually half-assed and relatively uncreative. So, to avoid the stress and rushing around, I'm just going to go the lame route and buy a costume. Searching women's costumes on Amazon is really fun. I have a few contenders. What do you guys think?

1. Candy Corn. I don't like the candy, but the costume's cute (and very hips-after-vacation-forgiving)!

2. Velma (for which I almost have the whole costume myself). And Velma's cool. Rat's right, Raggy!

3. Daphne. The other end of the Scooby Doo spectrum, but a funner costume. And I'd get to wear a wig (Velma's hair is very like mine; I'd probably go wigless).

4. Rainbow Brite. Or, I guess in this case, sexified Rainbow Brite-like character. I'd get to reuse the arm and leg warmers!

4. Jane Jetson. This one's my favorite (mostly because it's metallic, and the wig rules so much). But I'm a little off-put by the size-smaller issue. At this point, I'm a 10-12 exactly. Hm.

5. Blue Man Group TV head. Inspired by the show I saw Saturday night.

Any comments, anybody? I have at least two parties to go to (thankfully no attendance overlap). Discuss!

A: Because their husbands have Halloweenies!
