::WHAT JUST WENT DOWN AT FOLEY'S::

We step up to the cashier station. Two women are manning the station, and as Austin hands them the jacket he's buying, one of them says, "Where are you two from?" The other: "You're not from around here, are you?"

We stare back, kind of incredulous. "Yeah, we're from here..." I say. "Do you want our address?" Austin joshes.

"I kind of thought you might be one of those people from England. You know, people from London."

"It must be the hat," I laugh, pointing to Austin's tweed driver's cap.

The other cashier chimes in. "You two have a different style than people from here."

We took it as a compliment.
