::DISCOVERY CHANNEL::

I might be on channel 8 tonight being interviewed about the upcoming Discovery launch! After interviewing some of our visitors, Brad Hawkins, who is rather dreamy, needed a female voice to round out his interviewees. I offered to step in, and when he asked me whether I was "speaking as a science geek or as a representative of the museum," I said:

"One and the same, Brad. One and the same."

So yeah, I didn't say anything earth- or shuttle-shattering, but the look on his face and eyes when I finished answering his question was clear. "Thank you," he gushed, "A female voice. An articulate female voice."

Judge for yourself. Tonight. WFAA. On either the 5:30 PM or 10:00 PM newscast.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of being interviewed for TV or radio.

UPDATE:
"I'll have every finger crossed"? What was I thinking?
Comments:
Naw... you did fine. You gotta show me that "every finger crossed" trick, though.

It's not as hard as you'd think!

What does holding your fingers have to do with science? Yeah, what were you thinking?

Hey, I could've done worse and used the following "I'll be thinking good thoughts" euphemism that I usually use:

"I'll be sending out a huge Care-Bear stare!"

(And I have perfected the "every finger crossed" trick, and a) it's not that hard, you're right, Brendan, and b) it looks like a gang sign.)
