::PURCHASES FOR MY FUTURE KID::

On my maiden trip to IKEA, I succombed to intense feelings of "I have found my life partner" and "I'm ovulating right now," buying my first kid a VIMSIG mobile for his/her crib.

This weekend in Houston, I bought a set of generic Spokey Dokeys from a crazy Five & Dime store.

Then today on my lunch break, I discover (via Boing Boing) that Baby Rock Records has lullabye-ized Radiohead and Björk albums! They're tinkly, plinky versions of the songs I love! (I have to admit, though, that about 2/3 of the Radiohead "lullabyes" sound really scary, so I'll just have to listen to them myself.)
