::SHORTER THAN ANY SIGUR RÓS SONG::
Yesterday, I decided to put a desk, a lamp, and a bookshelf out on the curb with "free" signs on them (y'know, as part of my ongoing AMCOP
affiliation). Austin and I toted them out, and as I headed back indoors, I said, "Okay, it's 5:39. When'll they be gone by?" We then decided to take his bookshelves out, too, and I went to work making the sign. Four minutes later, we headed to the curb with the shelves, and my stuff was already gone.
In four minutes!
They'd gone, strangely enough, to one of our upstairs neighbors, who was moving and needed furniture. He took Austin's shelves and offered us some cash; we refused.
It's not what the Austin Marshall Community Outreach Program is about, yo.
