I'll be hobnobbing with some fancy-wancy scholarship-grubbing highschool seniors and their parents at SMU. I'm the graduate of the President's Scholars program, so SMU wants to show me off as "what your life can be like if you get the scholarship you're interviewing for tomorrow." Which is great, if they want a makes-less-than-35-K-a-year, non-profit, geeky chick who, thanks to trudging through the cold rain last weekend, now has a head cold and sounds like Peter in the "When It's Time To Change" episode of The Brady Bunch to be a model for post-scholarship success.

But it's a free dinner.
